The SBK-Patientenakte App offers users the capability to access their electronic health records (ePA) following a one-time registration process.

• Within the ePA, your health data are consolidated in a single location. Documents can be uploaded easily via the app, or your healthcare providers can add important medical documents on your behalf. This facilitates continuous overview and active management of your health.
• In cases where it becomes necessary, you can quickly share essential documents with your physicians. With just a few steps, you can provide healthcare professionals with information regarding pre-existing conditions, allergies, or prescribed medications.
• The ePA, as a central repository of personal health information, must comply with strict security requirements mandated by legislation. This involves comprehensive approval processes, encryption of data, and secure access protocols to ensure your data remains protected.
• Future updates will introduce additional features in accordance with guidelines from the Telemedia Society (gematik). Usage of the app is voluntary and free of charge for users.

• You can upload and manage medical documents such as doctor’s notes, diagnoses, test results, or medication plans in a secure storage space.
• Enabled to have digital documents created or viewed by your healthcare providers, including vaccination records, pediatric health booklets, or dental reward books.

• An integrated search function helps you locate the nearest pharmacy quickly.
• You can review which services SBK has covered for you over the past six years.
• Manage access permissions and authorized representatives efficiently.

Security

• To ensure maximum protection of your health data, the app requires an SBK health card equipped with NFC capabilities and a securely issued PIN. These can be requested through personal consultation.
• Secure identification during login is performed to confirm that only you or authorized persons access your ePA. Multiple methods are available for verification, including PostIdent, electronic ID card, or visiting an SBK branch to receive an activation code.
